BABY GIRL'S NURSERY NOOK

June 29, 2018

It's been so long since I posted something. Some of you already know that I got a little busy last year with the arrival of our little girl. We had so many things going on and my blog had to take a back seat. But I have decided to ease back into blogging because I truly miss creating something. And I want to start with our daughter's nursery.

We are co-sleeping and she sleeps in the same room as us. I still wanted her to have her own little space, but I didn't want it to be so overwhelming that it took over our entire master.

So here goes... My sweet little girl's own little space.

I really wanted to add some pattern to her side of the wall. I had a few options in mind - stripes, contact paper, temporary wallpaper and decals. I finally decided to do these tiny 1 inch polka dots. They add some pattern to the wall but doesn't overwhelm the room. It also makes the area look much bigger than it actually is. They are pretty easy on the wallet so no regrets there!

The little unicorn is from Target's Pillowfort collection and my daughter is obsessed with it. We have named her Goldie and she loves saying hello and blowing kisses to it. It's really well made and adds the right touch of whimsy.

The crib is IKEA and we love it, and would totally recommend it. Our mattress is from Lullaby Earth and so far it has held up great.

The little triangle shelf is Project 62 from Target. It is a pretty small shelf, and might not work in every room, but the scale is right here. I love filling it up with little trinkets. The rainbow is actually a piggy bank - how stinking cute is that! The whimsical deer is a free printable which you can get here.

I am so happy with how it turned out. It's just what I had in mind - her own space, but nothing too loud/overwhelming because we share a room. The best part is that my daughter seems to notice and like the changes in her area. If it makes your 'client' happy, consider it mission accomplished.

Hope you enjoyed the little tour.

Cheers,
Vinaya
