URBAN JUNGLE BLOGGERS : BOTANICAL ZOOM

It's March and the Urban Jungle Blog team is back with a new theme - Botanical Zoom.

This month Igor and Judith wants us to zoom into the botanical beauty of our houseplants. This was a fun challenge - I rarely get close to my plants. So I saw this as an opportunity to get to know my housemates better!

The shamrock is a new addition to my collection. It has been popping up a lot in stores on account of St. Patricks Day, which is today. So Happy St.Patrick's Day! I love the chartreuse color and the clover shaped leaves.

Another new addition is the Nerve plant. I was nervous the first few days, because this guy needs high humidity, and you know how North American winters can get. Its been doing OK so far. The pink leaves are so gorgeous..

The Dracaena is also a new addition. My favorite part is the pink banding on the sword like leaves.

(Are you sensing a pink theme so far?)

I also couldn't help but share a few pictures from a recent greenhouse trip - the ultimate cure for winter. I got real close to some succulent beauties, so don't be surprised if you see some of these popping up at home soon.
