They don't call it the most wonderful time of the year for nothing. Few holidays excite me as much as Christmas. This year I have been a little behind in the decorating department. But I just managed to decorate and finish photographing the tree for the blog, just in the nick of time. That's all that matters right?

I have recently developed a love for handmade pottery. There's something so delightful about watching someone turn clay into functional pieces. I enjoy following the work of several potters and am always excited by their creations. For some time now, I have been following the work of Boston potter Jeremy Ogusky. Dine at some local Boston restaurants, and you might possibly be enjoying your meal from one of his handmade plates.

Since we are right in the middle of summer I have joined a group of talented bloggers to share how we refreshed our homes for the summer months (follow the links at the end). We all teamed up and decided to refresh one area at home, this summer.  After all who doesn't love some redecorating, am I right?

There is a lot of dirt on the Internet about houseplants. Even with all this information out there, keeping plants alive is a daily struggle for me. So you would think I really wouldn't make it any harder for myself by bringing in rare, or dare I say - 'unknown' plants home, right?  But yeah, that's what I did anyway. 

 

If you ask me, turning a humble material like clay into something beautiful and functional is pretty incredible. That's what ceramic artists do, day in and day out. Today I am talking about these talented artists, who can put a smile on your face while working their magic with clay. I am so in awe of these women, that it's an honor to be talking about them here.

Today I want to share a simple art project which involves very little effort, except driving to the store! I promise.

The Monstera Deliciosa, aka Split Leaf Philodendron, aka Swiss Cheese plant has seen a recent surge in popularity. No other plant has captured my interest, as much as this one.
