Its the most wonderful time of the year!
Christmas is my favorite holiday. There's something so magical about seeing homes lit with Christmas trees, wreaths hanging on doors and windows and families getting together for dinner.

Today I want to share a really simple wall hanging, that adds a lot of texture. I call it my Dreamcatcher Weaving.

Today I am excited to tell you all about two of my latest purchases. A cool futuristic travel poster and a vintage map. Both are from a website I discovered on Instagram called CartographersUnion. They are a company that specialize in reproducing vintage maps and travel posters and I love their collections.

Today I have exciting news to share ! My blog is getting a facelift and a new name.
I am no longer at "inspiredwalls". Please welcome "Hip Hip Home!".
I promise, nothing has changed except the name! You know that moment when you are all excited to get on social media and hit go? Well, that's what happened to me. I was too eager to start and I didn't put enough thought into naming my blog-baby. I always thought it didn't really feel like me and knew all along that I wanted to change it. And it finally happened today.
New blog, new name but same old me!
From the bottom of my heart, a big Thank You to all of you, who always provide encouragement and support!
So here we go! Three cheers from my home to yours! HIP HIP HOME!
Cheers,
Vinaya

A room without a coffee table is like a model without lipstick. Undone. I don't know where I read this, but I happen to agree.

I love flocked Christmas trees. I am fascinated by the magical feeling they exude. Snowy, icy wonderland. In my opinion, they almost need no ornaments except twinkly lights.

It's time to address the elephant in the room. The big dark leather couch. Some of you inherited it along with your husbands, for some it was a durable choice, and for others it was the ultimate in modern luxury.

Months ago, I found an IKEA Hemnes dresser on craigslist, for FREE. It was not in the best condition , but I had been wanting to test my real painting skills for some time now and jumped at this opportunity! And since my last paint job looked like my 5 year old nephew painted it, this time I wanted to do it right.

If you are anything like me, you probably have a tangled bundle of jewelry shamefully tucked away in your closet. I have lived like that for years. I was walking around my apartment today with a hammer in hand, straightening my frames, when something clicked. In 2 minutes I had my own jewelry organizer.

I haven't met anyone yet who said Meh to IKEA. You either love it or hate it. I am the former, I love IKEA. Maybe its the Scandinavian design, and the truth that no other store makes Scandinavian design so accessible to everyone.

I am still the new blog on the block. I have been following tons of other blogs on Instagram and there are so many talented bloggers out there, so much inspiration, it's incredible.
So a month ago, I was sitting on my couch, leaning on my new plush pillow, when OUCH! I turned around and saw a needle poking out of my pillow. Alright, it was not a needle. It was a harmless feather. Although, I didn't think of THAT when I went hunting for fluffy feather pillows! So I lived with the poking for a while.
Until 2 weeks ago. When my unsuspecting neighbor jumped up from the couch, to be precise. Not so harmless anymore huh. So the pillows had to be retired until I found a solution.
Like always, I turned to Google. And the most valuable piece of advice I found, was to use a cover made of high (highest you can find) thread count fabric. Well what do I know! Homegoods had already figured that out. My pillows were made of the thickest imaginable fabric. Even that couldn't keep them all in!
